Create more, consume less.

Seems like a good mantra for right now.

I just moved to Los Angeles with my husband after 14 years in San Francisco. Everything is new and I think it's a good chance to rethink my approach to living and share what I'm learning.

I've been working at a music tech company for the past 3 years, running brand marketing, partnerships, content, and external comms. With this move to LA, I'm keeping my role, but making it more focused content, partnerships, and comms. I'm excited about the focus and am diving into more events and partner meetings. I hope to use our platform to help artists get a wider reach with their music. While I'm at it, I'm exploring new music and trying to go to as many shows as possible.

I'm adjusting to working from home after having been in an office for years. I'm trying to create a routine that allows time for exploring new creative ventures. I'm going to attempt to try a new creative activity each week in an attempt to find one that speaks to me the most. One of these will be photography, and that includes archiving photos from some of our recent travels and sharing notes from those. I'm also looking to expand my knowledge. I'm putting together a book list and would like to read a book a week.

We're looking to purchase our first home, so it's a lot to take in while getting to know a new city. I'm getting a crash course in LA neighborhoods, that's for sure. Unfortunately, the real estate market seems to be just as crazy here as in SF. Fingers crossed that we find something we love soon. While we're at it, we're eating all the food at so many great new places, and I'm trying to find all of my favorite places here, including shops, wellness goodies, parks, galleries, yoga studios, etc.

Leaving SF left me without my regular yoga class and teacher, but I'm going to use this time to further my training and start exploring creating my own sequencing. Perfect timing, as I've enrolled in my teacher's Intuitive Sequencing online course. I hope this is a catalyst for starting to get comfortable teaching and sharing the knowledge I've gained over the decades of practice and over 500 hours of teacher training. In addition, I am trying to stay in good shape despite the moving around, eating out and not having a very firm schedule. I'm going to attempt to tweak my diet and overall wellness regimes and learn as I go documenting progress.

Finally, I'm really interested in getting to know the community here in LA and intend to get active in local politics, art, design, and music.

This will serve as a place to document everything, and my own little corner of accountability.
